Dance Barefoot at these Outdoor Concerts
The first outdoor concert marks the start of summer for me. Lying in the grass, listening to a tuba sift through the warm breeze—it’s heaven. Luckily, Grosse Pointe has got you covered, from jazz to Motown outdoor concerts.
On Wednesday, kick off your shoes and see the Rhythm Society, a 16-piece dance band, perform live swing music at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. The concert is part of the Memorial’s Music Festival, which includes a performance on July 23 from Triology, a band rockin’ it all — country, oldies, classic rock, ‘80s dance — you name it they play it. Both concerts start at 7:30 p.m., $8 per person, and $4 for ages 10 and under.
Or go to the Village Plaza, at the intersection of Kercheval and St. Clair, for live jazz concerts every Thursday at 7 p.m.
Plop down with lawn chairs and popsicles for a great summer concert.
